Dj Arafat is dead. The news came in the early afternoon of 12 August 2019. The news spread on social networks like wildfire. Many did not immediately believe it.

In Abidjan, people mobilized in front of the hospital where Ange Huon, his real name, to see, with their eyes, the lifeless body of their idol. The hospital staff had to use subterfuge to get the fans of Dj Arafat to clear the entrance.

The news of the death of this coupé-decalé legend, a hitmaker with a sulphurous lifestyle, was immediately reported by many media. He had reinforced his image as a bad boy by multiplying his antics, both in real life and on social networks. A habitual clash artist, notably with many of his Ivorian showbiz colleagues, Dj Arafat made no apologies for his outspokenness.

The Ivorian singer left many fans in dismay, who could not understand such a brutal death. However, images of the minutes leading up to his accident have recently been circulating on social networks. It shows the young singer riding his motorbike on one wheel (the rear wheel). A surveillance camera also filmed the accident that caused the death of Dj Arafat. He was speeding down a street and collided with a vehicle at an intersection.

Dj Arafat has been producing hits for the past ten years. He has influenced a whole generation of young people across Africa.
