The Congolese singer received a two-year suspended prison sentence. The Nanterre prosecutor’s office appealed on 22 March 2019.
On Monday 18 March, the correctional court of Nanterre (France) sentenced Koffi Olomidé to a two-year suspended prison sentence for sexual assault on one of his former dancers. She was a minor at the time of the events.
The prosecution had requested a seven-year prison sentence. She has therefore decided to appeal the court’s decision. The prosecution accused Koffi Olomidé of sexual assault on four young girls who had worked for him and whom he allegedly kidnapped between 2002 and 2006 in Paris. The court rejected the accusations against three of them.
Koffi Olomidé, known for his music as well as his antics, has already spent a short time in prison. That was in 2006, after he kicked one of his dancers.
