The initiative comes from the artist Tiken Jah Fakolly, who has announced an album committed to the protection of the environment.

Tiken Jah Fakoly has just completed a project dear to his heart. On 30 April, he inaugurated a library in Abidjan, his country, dedicated to reggae, the musical style in which he has made a name for himself over the years.

For the artist, this place is not only a reading space, it is a message to the youth who must soak up history and awaken the pan-Africanist flame within them. But also, to help this target to trace the origins of reggae which, according to the artist, are in Africa. It is his contribution to the education of a youth that he would like to be aware of its assets and social injustices.

This project is in addition to the recording studio and the free radio Fakoly that the artist has set up. Access is free. However, a fee of 200 CFA francs must be paid to consult the books.

Tiken Jah Fakolly, an artist known for his commitment, took advantage of this moment to cover, exclusively, two songs from his next album which, according to him, will be a stand in favour of environmental protection, among other things.
